Concerns about Yoshi - BirdBoard.Com - Parrot Message Board & Pet ...

When I picked him up on Sunday Dec. 27th, he weighed 336 grams. He had his physical and blood panel on Wednesday Dec 30th. The checkup was very good save two things. He'd dropped to 328 grams and his blood work came back with an elevated kidney function (Normal is 2 - 10 and his was 14) They told me to bring him back in two weeks to re-check. During that time, he ate and drank most everything he was given. Fresh berries, some fruits, veggies (darker colored, eclectus-ready). Would you ask for compensation from the breeder for health issues? Would you just accept what is happening and do what you can to help the bird? He is very content here with us. The house is far from noisy. He gets quality quiet time. He gets at least 4 - 6 hours a day outside of the cage. He's not really playing with toys much but does climb all over his cage with the boing and perches. He steps up for everyone in the family and he's never screamed or even came close to freaking out. To us, he appears to enjoy his place in this flock. If I am out of the room for too long,...
