NFL-OLOPY: A Classic Game with a New Twist
13.01.10
The main tidbit of news that recently reminded fans of the NFL and its goals for total global economic domination can be seen in the examination of another
covert agreement that has arguably stolen money from each of our wallets. A few years back the NFL made Reebok their exclusive merchandise (apparel) manufacturer. When questioned and eventually sued the league stated that the monopolistic move was made to ensure fans would have consistent quality in the goods they purchased. Other manufactures havent started drinking the kool aid, and have taken their cause to the Supreme Court. The main argument against the football powerhouse doesnt argue the concept of monopolization, but rather focuses on the point that the NFL is made up of multiple companies residing under an umbrella. Further statements suggested that the umbrella is unfairly restricting the teams rights to conduct business as separate entities. In the end, it can clearly be understood why things have become so complicated.
