Dr. Marty Becker Picks Best In Show at Global Pet Expo

The title-holder: The Tagnabbit ($3.99) from Petmate (Petmate.com). The winning product is also one of the show's least expensive, an innovative hit for pet tags that allows pet-owners to switch collars without breaking fingernails on split-hooked fasteners, or needing pliers to seal an "S" hook. The Tagnabbit will hit the pet retailers in July.

I bought one of these and ended up eventually throwing it away because a cat urinated on it. I couldn’t clean it totally because of the way it’s designed and the cat kept eliminating on it. It was a waste of money for me. Two of our cats still have issues with one another so still working on total harmony in the home. If we had total harmony then the mat would probably still be in use.

I bought this from Amazon, and received it in a timely manner. I place it in front of my cats litter box, and was happy at the prospect of less litter tracked through my house. The problem is I started smelling a foul odor (like old human feces). I was going in circles trying to find the source. The source turned out to be the mat itself. I figured the smell would disapate like many others that come from plastic and rubber products. Well it didnt I soaked the mat in bleach and lemon floor cleaner, it didnt help. I gave up and threw it out 2 days after it arrived. I could have sent it back but the smell of just being near it was turning my stomach. I have no Idea why it would stink, and no one else says their’s stinks so bad luck I guess?
