How does it work without an infant carrier seat?

I hate infant carrier seats. They are so heavy, large and bulky and annoying. I dont want to use it with my next one, but Im wondering what the alternative is. Mainly , where do I put the baby when we go to a resturaunt. For most other places, they can go in the stroller, or carrier that attaches to you, but what do you do in a resturaunt, when they are too small to fit in a highchair?

American, TPG Raise Japan Air Offer to $1.4 Billion

Jan. 12 (Bloomberg) -- American Airlines and TPG raised an offer to invest in Japan Airlines Corp. to $1.4 billion as the U.S. carrier tries to maintain ties with Asia’s biggest airline.

Private-equity firm TPG would offer as much as $1.1 billion to Japan Air, with AMR Corp.’s American and its Oneworld alliance partners providing up to $300 million, American Chief Financial Officer Tom Horton told reporters in Tokyo today. The U.S. carrier also guaranteed Japan Air a $100 million annual sales boost for three years on a proposed trans-Pacific tie-up.

British Airways Plc offered greater cooperation on flights to Europe as part of a wider Oneworld package valued at $2 billion in sales to Japan Air over three years. Delta Air Lines Inc. and its SkyTeam partners have also offered to invest in the Tokyo-based airline as it heads toward a possible court- led restructuring after three losses in four years.
