Our dog was put on a raw meat diet, given shark cartilage, vitamins C and E, selenium and MSM. He told us the dog should not have any vaccines at all. We took the dog to this vet every month, and he took a picture of his mouth, and we were able to watch the tumor shrink. In less than a year, the tumor was completely gone and the jawbone had grown back. The only way you could tell there was ever anything wrong with his mouth was that his teeth on the lower left were all crooked.
The dog lived a full life until the age of 12 when old age claimed him.

DEAR R.B.: Many readers will find hope in your letter when it comes to alternative treatments for cancer. Your dog had two good things in his favor — youth and caring owners. I am a strong advocate of using various supplements to boost the cancer victim's immune system and to counter DNA damage. Such steps should always be taken whether or not conventional treatments like surgery, radiation or chemotherapy are given.
Hi, I'm Kara.
I used to breed yellow labs for Leader Dogs for The Blind here in Michigan and we had one or two litters a year for about eight years - that's a lot of puppies. I spent a lot of time learning about socialization training for the pups in their first six or seven weeks before turning them over to their own puppy raiser. They were too young when they left for me to ever have to house train them or basic train them sit, stay and fetch.
Now that the "girls" are retired, I have spent more time learning about training older dogs. I have a maltese now that is afraid of big dogs. I wanted to learn how to train older dogs so they would be calmer, better companions. I learned so much from this book, I wanted to share it with you. Click here to see the product I use.
I have a female 8 year old German Sheppard/Border Collie cross. She was diagnosed today by my vet as having Arthritis in her hips…The vets answer was a very expensive food containing Omega-3 and a very expensive supplement containing Glucosamine and vitamins and minerals. Should I get Omega-3 and the necessary Glucosamine etc from a health food store or the like and go from there? I recently saw a documentary about the pet food industry..A year after the pet food scare, and according to this show, one food at the top of the price list at a veterinary clinic doesn’t offer anything extra than your local pet store type food..I understand that the food my vet was speaking of today called j/d by Hill’s Prescription Diet does have something extra and necessary to improve my dogs mobility and enjoyment of life..namely Omega-3..but I believe there is another way perhaps that I can get these necessary supplements incorporated into my dogs diet.
Just feed it a good quality food (nothing from a grocery store, look in a pet store). I personally do not like anything from Hill’s. Then give him Fish Oil caplets (1000mg) twice a day and a Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM pill once or twice a day. I have a golden with arthritis and we give him Dasuquin, but that is top of the line and very expensive. You could try Glyco-Flex. That is less expensive and good quality.
