Puppy Pad Tray - Dog Supplies

Help using Wizdog for puppy! Puppy gets scared of sound of paws/claws on the plastic tray....?

My 5 month old puppy is puppy-pad trained but I wanted to get away from those but still have the option of him going potty inside when needed--so I purchased the wizdog (www.wizdog.com) indoor potty system...but once he starts to step on it he gets scared because of the feel (I think) and sound of the plastic tray so now goes where he's not supposed to. Any help!!!???

The easiest way to train your pup is place treats in the middle and every time he/she gets on the Wizdog, be sure to praised them enthusiastically. Then each time your pup gets on it, give them another treat until they appear to be comfortable with it.

Next, capture some of their urine while they go potty outside and placed it under the grate. Then place your pup on the Wizdog, be sure to praise her and allow her to sniff around, ensuring they smell their own urine. Each morning when your pup has a full bladder, put her on a leash and keep her on the Wizdog. Eventually your pup will start to understand the association with the Wizdog and her going potty.

Dad saves Christmas on the fly

A couple of days ago, my oldest daughter came home from school, tears streaming down her cheeks, her little body quivering in spasms of anguish. I reached over and grabbed the hot pad from beneath the tray of Christmas cookies and wiped her face with it.

“What’s wrong?” I asked. “Did they serve beef stroganoff in the school cafeteria again today?”

“No, it’s much worse than that,” my daughter sobbed. “Peter Kenickie told me at recess today that there is no such thing as Santa Claus.”

I sighed. I had worried that this day would eventually come. I had always known that, sooner or later, I would be faced with one of the three dreaded inquiries of parenthood: “Is there really a Santa Claus?” “Where do babies come from?” “Can I join a soccer league?” Fortunately, by this point in my life I have become a veteran parent, and I knew exactly how to handle the situation. I gently patted her head, cleared my throat and raced to the phone to call my wife. I reached her in her car near Stadium and Worley, where she had been snarled in a traffic jam for nearly three hours on her way to the mall as hordes of confused and terrified shoppers inched past the red-light cameras.

New here - big problems :( - Pet Forums Community

3. I was lucky as he goes in 2 places only - near the front door in the mat well or near it or in the en suite bath - so both areas easy to wash down. But I removed front door mat, and covered with plastic bin liners at night topped with 2 old towels. This was so most of the wee would be absorbed by towels and prevented soaking in by bin liners. I had a problem with my PB weeing - by the front door on the coir mat, behind the tv and behind the sofa. I was using Oko plus litter which I really liked. Eventually, I bought a couple more trays (one of them hooded) and 3 different types of litter. I lined them all up around the tv so that I could see at all times who was choosing what type of litter. Without exception, they ALL preferred to use the Pura Moonlight (which is a very fine sandy texture). Since changing to this litter we have had no further problems except when we moved to our new house just before Christmas and he wee'd on the coir mat by the front door. we have taken up the mat and it's just bare concrete for now. I've got the "Wash and get off!" spray from pets at home. I've also got cat repellents to keep him from peeing in the same places. I had 2 foster cats before him who were ill & so pooped wherever they felt like it. I've placed 3 litter trays around the house & found he would pee in one and poop in the others. You should definitely place more litter trays to see if he'll use them for different movements. Different litter is another option. Some cats are very fussy, or can become very fussy. Or no litter at all? Or puppy pads. They're 4 for 1 from poundland and I've found problem cats will be drawn to them if I put them in their litter tray. I had 2 kittens last year who were peeing EVERYWHERE. I put down puppy pads & managed to contain it. Gradually moving the pad into a tray. Then pad with litter and eventually no pad !! You should really take him to the vet to see if he has any health problems. One of my foster cats...
