What is the best indestructable toy to get my one year old miniture daschund?

My daschie tears up every toy we get him. He then eats it or the stuffing out it and gets sick. He does not like rubber toys. His favorite are plush toys. But, they usually last about an hour. He loves his toys so much. He mourns each one we have to throw away. He has two rope toys right now. That is all he has left. Is there anything else other than rope toys that he will not tear up?

A Kong! My dogs love them.

Cadmium Found In Children's Toys

CINCINNATI -- Parents across the country are taking a second look at all the Christmas presents they got their children after a toxic metal is found in some toys.

Researchers in Ohio discovered cadmium in some products. The find is forcing retailers such as Wal-Mart to pull some products off the shelves.

Experts said that children's jewelry made with cadmium could pose a serious health risk. A professor at Ashland University completed the study.

"It is frustrating because most of the time they love that kind of stuff," parent Nancy Shelby said.

Based on that research, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is investigating the sale of charm bracelets and pendants with extraordinarily high levels of cadmium at some of the nation's largest retailers.

Those retailers include Wal-Mart, Dollar Store and Claire's.

"You just don't know what to give your kids," parent Candy Miller said.
