Best way to set up a Corner Fish Tank/Aquarium?

I want to know the best place of situating the filter and heater in a corner fish tank? Was thinking of putting the filter in the centre at the back of the tank but don't know where to put the heater. Can anyone help?

i have an 72 corner tank, and for a tank like that you want a canister filter as HOB filters will stick out too much if your planning on placing it next to a wall.

On my tank, i have the spray bar, as it is an ehiem, on the back side of the tank and it is spraying towards the front, that way the current will follow the curve and circulate the water evenly.

The intake is on the other back wall.

The heater should be right next to the intake, as the intake will suck up the heat from the heater and it will circulate the heat when it comes back out of the filter.

But that is fishkeeping tankset-up general, the heat should always be by the intake of the filter.

There are several types of fish tank filters one can choose from that will match appropriately the size of the tank. Each of these type perform mechanical, chemical, biological filtration, or a combination of two or all of these functions. For small tanks, there are the hang-on filters, internal power filters, box or corner filters, diatom filters, and sponge filters. All these are of the inexpensive variety but have some downsides. Hang-on and internal power filters can perform all filter functions but has only a small surface area for filter media. The box or corner filter, diatom filter, and sponge filter get clogged up easily and require frequent cleaning. These types are usually kept as secondary or back-up filters.   Larger aquariums need more powerful fish tank filters . Canister filters, undergravel filters, fluidized bed filters, and wet and dry filters are ideal for these tanks. However, these filters have more maintenance issues, may require additional equipment, and a more complex set up than the simple ones.
