Eclipse Aquarium replacement part?
So I've had this tank for close to 12 yrs and no longer remember what model I have. It's a 25 or 30 gallon if I remember correctly and just the impeller blade snapped. How I'm not sure but it's apparent now that the magnet shakes and causes noise in the chamber. I've tried getting it realigned and figure buy a new one. Problem there are too many models and I have no clue which one to buy. Any ideas how I can tell which model I need? Any way to know which model I have. it's been so long I have no idea:(
Where's the best place online to buy replacement parts for tanks and filters replacements?
The impeller is the one moving part on that filter, so it eventually wears out. If yours lasted 12 years of continuous use, that's exceptional. You can order the part directly from Marineland (the manufacturer), or from several mail-order firms. Some pet stores also carry replacement impellers for Eclipse filters. However, for any of these, you will need to know what model you have. Try measuing the top assembly that contains the filter and light. Different Eclipse models have different size tops. The name of the model should also be written somewhere on it, if you examine it closely.
Three places I've been able to order parts from online are Drs. Foster and Smith, Pet Solutions, and Big Al's Online.
