Emperor Power Filter 400 for 46 gallon tank?
is Emperor Power Filter 400 for 46 gallon bow front tank a wise choice?
i did tons of research on aquarium filter, and came across wet/dry filters, canister filters which always have problem with leaking.
would someone please help me find a right filter for my new tank?
Thank you!
the emperors a great filter, for you 46 gallon tank i would also look into the fluval 205, its a little on the pricy side, like 120 off ebay, but is rated for a 40 gallon tank and you get the luxury of the canister filter,(not sure what cansiters yove dealt with, but ive never had an issue with fluval, marinelands and ehieim in my opinion are nowhere near the level of fluval) emperor does a great job, but other options you have is the marineland penguin 350, two huge bio-wheels, two pumps, big cartridges, and is rated for a 75 gallon tank, and you can get this off ebay also for less than 40 bucks with shipping, i have used them in the past and they do a great job, im a fan of marineland and the biowheel setups, keep ammonia completely absent and do a great job with the mechanical filtration, i would look into marinelands 350 or the fluval, nothing wrong with the emperor, just i think theres better out there
