If I were to get a 30 gallon octagon fish tank what kinds of fish would go in it and how many?

What would be good fish? And not ones that don't last long or are very tiny. I'm thinkin about kinda big fish...
how about angelfish? I've seen them in larger octogon tanks and they look pretty great.
If looking into more than one species make sure that they are compatible. Not all fish are friendly!
The rule for keepin fish is to keep one inch of fish per gallon of water. This translates to 30 one inch long fish, 15 two inch long fish, 10 three inch long fish... etc...

It can be fun to set up an aquarium fish tank, but as in all the interests it pays to do some research before you start. Before you buy any fish you have to cycle up exactly to ensure that the bacteria enough to deal with the waste products of your fish. We suggest a method of fishless cycling detailed below.
Select Tank
Aquarium fish tank can be purchased in glass or acrylic. Glass car increase is less expensive, is heavier and sometimes spring leaks. Acrylic tanks are more expensive, less the leak, into a series of pictures but do not scratch easily. Acrylic normal longer than glass.
Fish Tank Shape
Acrylic tank to a shape including cylindrical, hexagonal, Octagon and round as well as the traditional rectangle. There are also wall tanks and tank coffee table. Rectangular shape of traditional is still the best, however, the volume of surface water is an area of maximum for good air exchange. For the other changes shape, with water smaller proportion to surface area, higher maintenance and regular more will be needed.
Generally buy the largest tank that will fit where you will be placed on it and you can afford. A larger tank requires less maintenance and you can fit in without much personal risk status than east.

Request
Ammonia, nitrite and test strips nitrate test
Bacterial culture from a tank set up - this can some material or a gravel filter
Or use a standard trade as being invaded by Dr. Foster & Smith or Biospira by Marineland Unscented ammonia
Means
After adding bacterial cultures to newly established add 5 drops of ammonia tanks for every ten gallons of water. Test for ammonia. If nothing Register drop a few more until you get a reading. Continue to add same amount every day until you can detect nitrite in the lake. Now more half the daily amount until registration on ammonia nitrate test strips. At this point the nitrite levels drop to start. When they reach zero increase is cycled. Due to a change of 30%, and you're ready for your fish.
