I need an idea for a Halloween costume?

I decided to dress my dog up for Halloween and found a perfect costume for him. He's going to be a Bumble Bee. The costume is not uncomfortable or hot like other pet costumes are. But, I though it would be cute to dress up with him, but I am having trouble deciding on a costume.

I thought of being a flower, ladybug, or even fellow bumble bee. But, the costumes I find are either too slutty or expensive. I was even thinking of going as pollen but not sure how to pull that together. Last resort...a Honey Pot...but again, not sure how to pull that together. Any cool/creative ideas for costumes that are easy to make/put together?

A lady bug needn't be difficult to assemble. If you aren't into sewing, you can get some red and black polar fleece. Cut the red fleece into two circles for the front and back. Cut one circle in half. Use fabric glue (or stitch) to glue the back (full circle) to the front leaving gaps for the arm holes, the head hole, and the legs. Adhere black circles to the back, add antennae and you're done!

1st Petapalooza a tail-waggin' good time

Downtown Billings went to the dogs Saturday.

And to the goats, to big and youthful horses, bunnies, a cat and at least one ferret.

The crowd of animals and their owners came to the center of municipality for the first Petapalooza, put on by the Billings Cultural Partners, a consortium of 21 range cultural and arts organizations. Billed as “a fete of pets and their people,” the event drew a a handful of of hundred pet owners for a number of events, including pet trick, costume and pet crooning contests.

The highlight was a flaunt with 34 entries that followed a U-shaped route along several downtown blocks. Even cloudy skies and a abbreviated rain shower didn’t seem to dampen spirits.

Dogs, the best part animal at the inaugural event, clearly enjoyed themselves. Canines of all breeds, colors and sizes wagged their tails with wantonness.

A few small dogs barked at their larger counterparts, but for the most part, the animals seemed to get off on their encounters with each other. Their owners stopped at booths set up for the occasion, some which offered free dog treats to their furry visitors.
